GRAND (Getting Real About Alcohol and Drugs) Week was created to raise awareness of drugs and alcohol issues and services, as well as encouraging Glasgow citizens to get involved in tackling these issues in their communities.
The week was developed by a range of partners including Glasgow Community and Safety Services (GCSS), NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Improvement Alcohol and Drug Team, Strathclyde Police, Greater Glasgow & Clyde Alcohol and Drug Action Teams, Glasgow City Council, and the city’s local drug and alcohol forums.
Glasgow’s second GRAND Week took place from in September 2008 and included a showcase event in the city centre, followed by a range of events throughout Glasgow.
