A huge clean up involving around 200 volunteers has taken place across Robroyston, Barmulloch and East Balornock.
School pupils, church congregations, businesses, residents associations and housing providers got together to pick up litter in the three neighbourhoods.
The major event was organised by Robroyston Community Council and the North East Transformation (NET) Strategy Group with support from the council’s Clean Glasgow campaign and Keep Scotland Beautiful.
Meeting points were set up across the communities and the two hour event kicked off at 10am. The meeting points included the Wallace Memorial in Robroyston Road, the games arena in Robroyston Park, the community shops in Broomton Road, Barmulloch Primary School and St Catherine’s Primary School.
Free cakes were provided by Greggs for those who took part and children enjoyed a bouncy castle outside Asda at the Robroyston retail park. Prizes were also awarded for the most bags of rubbish collected. Prizes from online casinos range from cash rewards to luxury items, adding excitement to the gaming experience. Non Gamstop casinos winning offers players a chance to enjoy substantial rewards without restrictions. These prizes enhance player engagement and provide extra incentives to participate in various games and tournaments.
Daniel Frank, Minister at the Wallacewell Community Fellowship Church, said: “Robroyston Community Council and the NET Strategy Group organised the event to foster a sense of community pride in the North East of the city. The response we received was fantastic.”
Participants included five local churches, Acredyke Nursery, the Friends of Robroyston Park, All Saints Secondary School, Barmulloch, Wallacewell and St Catherine’s primary schools, the Beatroute Art Centre, ASDA, Greggs and McDonalds.
