September 2009 – Thousands of Glaswegians are expected to turn out to George Square on Saturday 12th September to mark the start of the city’s third GRAND (Getting Real about Alcohol ‘n’ Drugs) Week. The city-centre event will kick off this year’s initiative, which was created to raise awareness of drugs and alcohol issues and services across the city. August 2009 – Thousands flocked to Glasgow Green to visit the ever-popular Glasgow Festival on the Green, formerly The Glasgow Show. We were there to let visitors know all about our work across the city. Activities on offer on the day included our STUFF mobile football, basketball and the interactive media buses for young people.
read moreJuly 2009 – It’s festival time again in Glasgow and GCSS is going to be back again this year with the unique zap cat experience on the Clyde. Zap cat demonstrations will take place on both days at 12.30, 2.30 and 4.45pm, and anyone wanting to have a go themselves can pay £20 for a 15 minute slot. Turn up on the day to book.
