Glasgow Community and Safety Services are committed to delivering a robust, responsive and consistent service to victims of crime and antisocial behaviour in all communities across Glasgow.
Restorative processes form an integral part of GCSS’ approach to providing support services to victims. Restorative processes are used to engage with victim and offender where appropriate. All offender intervention programmes delivered by GCSS are underpinned by Restorative Justice principles.
ASSIST (Advocacy, Support, Safety, Information Services Together) is the specialist domestic abuse advocacy service. The service is linked with the Specialist Domestic Abuse Courts at Glasgow Sheriff Court and for male victims from Ayr and Edinburgh Domestic Abuse Cluster Courts.
Support to Victims of Human Trafficking
This team provides support to women who have been trafficked for the purposes of prostitution, pornography, lap dancing and stripping.
Our Mediation team often work with victims of antisocial behaviour to support them in addressing their issues in a safe and confidential environment.
Working in partnership with Strathclyde Police, Glasgow Addiction Services and Glasgow City Council. Our Street Prostitution service offers a proactive and integrated multi agency approach to reduce the prevalence of street prostitution in Glasgow.
